Two component waterproof coating
The most common method which is in use these days for waterproofing of several things like RCC slab, toilet sunken slabs, water tanks, balconies etc. is "Two-component waterproofing coating system". In this system, there are two components as the name suggests. One is powder compound and other is polymer liquid compound (latex). A wide range of products are available out there in the market of this category. each one has its own specification. The most important thing to mention here about this system is
"Liquid to powder ratio"
Liquid polymer compound gives flexibility to the layer of coating and powder functions as filler material. Point to be noted here is
" More the percentage of liquid with respect to powder, better the quality shall be"
